We found some of these feathers on a path in the woods. Apparently the bird was someone’s lunch, there were feathers all over but no head or body, only one foot and leg. There was also some downy feathers with interesting designs on them–some were heart shaped and some were rectangles touching each other at the corners. Very interesting and we were glad to find these feathers to identify them. Thanks!!
So cool these birds are beautiful birds!! I went to check my mail today and one lonely feather laying there. But yellow and amazing!!! I have never seen one like it before. I live in East Texas!!! Blue black red or orange red. Lol that’s all I really see around loose on the ground. I googled and searched and went nutts trying to find where did it or what did it come from. I kept it washed it and love it!! I sure wish I had a handful more because I would make a dream catcher also.
