Last year at the end of David’s Freshmen year he and every other member of Hoeing Hall were fined for damages to one of the common areas.  The true culprit(s) were never discovered so the UofR leveled the same fine on all hall residents.  I think it was less then $30.  I’m guessing that this judgement did not sit too well with everyone.  Now a year later Dave has a T-shirt commemorating the event.  I guess in time everything is funny.  OBTW, Hoes are what the Hoeing Hall members call themselves.  I wonder what the students would do if I ever endowed my own dorm, Axe Hall?

John, turned eighty yesterday.  Happy Birthday, Dad!

It was about 4 AM when the thunderstorms rolled into town.  The heavens opened up, with lots of intense lighting and lots of lots of rain.  Around 4:30 I heard the front door open, Dave was home.  He and his friend Kennard had walked home through the storm.  The storm continued to about eight when I finally got up.  I found two sets of wet clothes that I threw into the washer.  I also found Dave’s NEW cell phone.  The one he just got to replace the one he got wet.  I hope it still works?!

At Anna Banana’s suggestion we are starting a blog.  Well anyway I am, but I’m sure Anne will chime in at sometime.  We’ll see how it goes.

Today Dave came home from school.  We haven’t seen the guy in 5 months and haven’t hardly heard from him in a month.  His cell lost voice after attending a rainy outdoor concert, but he can still text.  He did well and has finished his Sophomore year.  He said his favorite class was fluids.  I assume that it didn’t involve beer since he got an A in it.  Tonight a RegenAxe family dinner.
