On Tuesday, after visiting the Foundry, we headed over to the gardens, which was our afternoon destination all along. We got there late, with only a couple of hours until closing, but we were still able see most things there. Spring continues to make major progress outdoors and in the Climatron, gorgeous tropical flowers were on display. Photos were taken, sure to be displayed later on this blog. Wednesday, we walked in Forest Park, which is where we saw the pictured sun dog. I was distressed to see that the flowering trees that lined the pathway between the visitor’s center and Pogoda Circle had been taken down. Fear not though, because gardeners were on station, with stacks of burlap wrapped replacement trees waiting to be planted. Those were two beautiful sunny days that are now followed by today’s rain.
