Here is the lakeview from Dave and Maren’s rented cabin in the woods. In honor of Dave’s birthday (Happy Birthday, David!) they got away for a long weekend up north. It looks like a beautiful, still, crisp fall day. As you can see, the colors are out. They went on to summit Black Mountain yesterday that in a few months will reopen as a ski resort, making now a shoulder season, a quiet season. We seem to be experiencing the best weather for brilliant fall foliage ourselves, with a dry, cool and sunny autumn with warm days and cool but frostless nights.
