Delicate Arch

We woke to rain. It was tempting to stay in the tent, but we had places to go and things to see. As soon as it stopped raining, we struck camp. We beat feet to Arches, trying to get there before the maddening crowd. We hadn’t eaten breakfast yet, so we searched for a picnic area. Our first stop was Panoramic Viewpoint, which sported brand new picnic shelters, but it was too cold and windy. We next tried the Delicate Arch Viewpoint, which worked a lot better. Spent the rest of the day sightseeing, looking at rocks, flora and fauna. Another rain storm swept in, giving us a break and me the chance to write this post. After the storm, we worked our way south again, hitting all the iconic sights.
