Straight out of Oz

Radio City Music Hall

A rainy day begat a slow start. Noon brunch with Ashlan and Brit at Olea. It was good to see Ashlan, unfortunately Allen couldn’t make it, fear of melting. We walked together in the rain, searching for coffee, while we waited for our table to be ready. After, Brit, Dan and us took the subway to Manhattan. Where we found a line for a new show that shut us out at the Guggenheim. So, we walked up a block to the Cooper-Hewitt instead. This is the Smithsonian’s museum of design and is housed in the old Carnagie mansion. Interesting. Again with the subway, still in the rain, we wended our way back to Dan’s place, for some delivery, TV and an early evening. We watched the remake of “Rocky Horror.” Bread and Circuses. I learned a new take on the fate of the Wicked Witch of the West, “5-0 is dropping houses on hoes.”
