Canyonlands

Anne at Grand View Point Overlook

We visited Canyonlands National Park, which is close to Arches. That’s three national parks so far. Canyonlands is a lot like Arches, except instead of looking up at all of the fantastic red rock features, we were looking down on them from above. We only visited the northern portion of the park, called Islands in the Sky. It was cooler than Arches. 1,500 feet more elevation might’ve had something to do with that. We did lots of little hikes and I was feeling a little tired by the end of the day. So, tomorrow will have to be a ‘rest’ day.

  1. if you’re still in Moab, I still suggest a drive back to Dead Horse Canyon – you can just walk the rim a bit to keep your legs moving – no huge climbs. but that’s just me. 😉

  2. OMG fantastic read!!! Nice! Keen to follow your writings 🙂 I just done the hike too. Would love if you could check out my artistic expression and let me know your thoughts? Maybe we could even share each others blogs on our fb page?
