We scored tickets to an advanced screening of the new Coen brothers movie, “Hail, Caesar!” We got them last week as part of Science on Tap. They were a door prize. At the end of that meeting the curator started drawing slips for the winners, which all happened to be clustered at the other end of the room. She mixed them up again and then asked Anne to draw the next one. She drew my name, how convenient. Joanie also won a pass or rather her friend Vicki won, but had already left. I’m really looking forward to this movie. I like most of the Coen’s films and this one already has quite a bit of buzz and an all-star cast.
So, since I’ll be seeing this show along with all of the more professional reviewers, including Michael, a friend of Dan’s who does reviews, I wonder when I should publish? I think that Wednesday is the earliest that reviews appear and most don’t occur until Thursday or Friday. I’ll have to look for and find another more knowledgeable member of the fifth estate. I’m not pretentious enough to consider myself a member of the fourth estate.
Great movie! Needs more viewings. Highly textured.
