9 Baby Mergansers

Dawn launch tomorrow at uh-oh dark thirty. Dan flies to STL and Anne and I begin the Michigan Upper Peninsula bicycle tour. The tour is for 300+ miles in seven days. Jay and Carl are coming with us, at least as far as Saint Ignace, where the MUP begins and ends. They’ll take the Prius back to the cabin and hopefully pick us up again in a week? Our tour will be a little easier than originally envisioned. We’ll overnight at the cabin for two of the six nights and just today, we’ll have a rather sweet looking hotel room in Paradise too. The addition of the hotel room has made me way more comfortable about this impending ride. It has a hot tub and a pool. I am more confident now about our success. The weather has been good and the bugs have been bad at the cabin this week. Last Sunday, we went from twelve people in the cabin to ten, when Dave and Jane left, but still only had one bathroom, not counting the outhouse. Next, Ashlan and her boyfriend Allen left, leaving only eight. Now with Dan and Anne and I leaving, they are down to five, but we will be back again and again.
