Talk With An Engineer

I’m a day late and a dollar short on this subject, but here it is anyway. Yesterday was Star Wars Day. This was news to me today. This revelation came out during the usual Monday morning post-weekend office geek-fest. After the de rigueur recap of Game of Thrones and any other super hero movie that might have premiered, one of my brethren announced that one of his even more geeky acquaintances had dressed up as Chewbacca at last night’s Star Wars trivia night. Now trivia night is in no way a geeky event, at least not here in Saint Louis. It is pretty much mainstream around here, but a Star Wars trivia night is getting out there on the old geek meter. Anyway, I learned about Star Wars Day and I had to mention it, just in case you hadn’t heard about it. I’m sure that it was all over the Internet, but I must have missed it all. In lieu of any Star Wars franchised photo, I offer this one of me. It is from the air show last Saturday. Anne took it of me in front of the Monsanto STEM booth. Her comment while she was taking it was, “Talk with an engineer and get him to listen.”
