Camp life on this bike trip is not particularly rustic. First off, normally we camp on school grounds, think lawns. Second, an inordinate number of our host chose to pitch their tents next to or even better in the crevasses afforded by said buildings. We never arrive to camp early enough to snare any of these plum spots, nor would we want to anyway. A third alternative is Bubba’s Pampered Peddelers. When you arrive at the end of the day, your tent is setup, but at $70 a night a motel room might be better. Anne and I suffer along, with the camp site leavings and our old No-Tell-Motel Too, which occasionally leaks too.
