Watermelon Hill

The hills are getting a little tough. Although, none of them individually, have really been all that tough. The named hills are generally only a 300 foot climb. The highest, Philosipher’s Hill, was only 400 feet. When I ride with my brother, Chris, in Monterey, his regular Saturday ride features a 700 foot climb, all the way to the top of 17 mile drive. I still don’t feel as tired after that ride’s climb as I do on our seventh day on the bike.
OK, enough whining, which is expressly prohibited on this tour. Maybe last night’s bottle of whine, had something to do with this bad attitude? The picture with this post was taken at the pinnacle of Watermelon Hill. You have got to love my helmet hair, because I certainly do.
