Niki de Saint Phalle (1930–2002) was a citizen of the world: born near Paris, raised in New York, worked in Europe, and finally California. Anne and I biked over to the MO-Bot Gardens to see an exhibit of her work. A complete photo tour of the exhibit is at http://www.mobot.org/events/NIKI/niki_tour/index.htm.
It started to mist, drizzle, sweat, so we decided to leave the garden after only an hour. We cruised through Tower Grove Park before turning for home. While passing the Central Westend we decided to stop for lunch. Mark’s request was for an outdoor table with an umbrella. Cruising north on Euclid we saw plenty of tables available but all the all the ones with umbrellas were taken. Until we came to the end and found Dressel’s Pub. While eating there we saw Chris Romer & Natalie Leroy , our former Kaldi’s teammates. All in all a good day!
I love the alligator/crocodile/thing. it looks like something you’d find in our house or yard. someone needs to make a strong suggestion to my parents that they build something like that…
